Woman dies in collision

A WOMAN has died following a collision in Manchester.

At about 8.30am on Saturday 14 March 2015, a 50-year-old woman was driving a Vauxhall Corsa along Gordon Street in Abbey Hey.

The driver had a cardiac arrest at the wheel and collided with three vehicles which were parked on the road.

The woman was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary for treatment, but sadly died on Monday 30 March 2015.

Police Constable Philip Shaw from GMP’s Serious collision Investigation unit, said: “Our thoughts go out to this woman’s family and friends and this sad time.

“We have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances leading up to the collision, anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the SCIU with any information on 0161 856 4741.”
