A WOMAN was taken to hospital with a suspected neck injury after her car crashed into the front of a house.
The driver of a blue Ford Ka brought traffic to a standstill on Twist Lane in Leigh after the accident at around 1.25pm on Monday.
Following the impact the woman complained to paramedics of neck pain and was treated at the scene. She was taken to Wigan Infirmary but her injuries were described as minor.
Initial reports suggested she was trapped in the car but Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said she had managed to get out of the vehicle herself by the time officers arrived at the scene.
GMP reports also suggest a Citroen C3 Picasso may have been involved in the incident, but further details remain unclear at this stage.
Twist Lane had to be closed following the crash but re-opened later on Monday afternoon. Police officers left the scene at around 4pm.
