Defenders Nathan Cameron and Adam Long have been given the green light to return following positive Covid-19 results.

Joe Garner is also fit after missing the last two games through concussion protocol, while new signing Curtis Tilt is in line to make his debut.

"Everyone's fit and available," said Sheridan.

"Nathan and Adam are obviously back from their spells in isolation, and Joe's okay after his bang to the head.

"It's a big squad I have to choose from, and that's important.

"I want people competing for every shirt, and make it difficult for me to pick a first 11 and a squad of 18."

Latics face a tough test this afternoon at the Valley, against a Charlton side who were relegated from the Championship with them on the last day of last season.

"Charlton are a big club for this division, they've got some very good, experienced players," acknowledged Sheridan.

"But it's a very evenly-matched league, and I'm a big believer in concentrating on your players and how you're going to perform.

"I know if my players can go out and play as aI know they can play, we will win games in this league.

"But you just can't turn up - no matter how well you've been training - and expect to perform.

"If you're not at the races, you're going to lose games.

"If you have too many players not at it, you're going to come undone - and that's what happened at Crewe last week."
