Ex-Wigan Athletic chief poised for managerial return
Former Wigan Athletic boss Malky Mackay is in line to make a return to football management at Dundee United.
The 48-year-old - currently Performance Director at the Scottish Football Association - has been out of club football since being sacked by Latics in April 2015 after 138 days in charge, with relegation to League One inevitable.
But he's been granted permission to discuss the vacancy at Tannadice generated by Robbie Neilson's departure for Hearts last week.
And he's currently top of the betting after a flurry of wagers.
Former Latics and Scotland star Lee McCulloch - currently assistant head coach at Tannadice - is rated a 20/1 shot.
