The club received an allocation of 3,047 for the April 30 clash and they were made available to season ticket holders from 10am today (Saturday).

Fans desperate to see what could well be a promotion-clinching game flocked to the DW Stadium in their thousands to book their place at Bloomfield Road.

And it didn’t take long for every ticket to make its way into the hands of delighted Latics fans.

Earlier this week, Latics announced that the game’s kick-off was being moved to 12.30pm from 3pm on police advice.

A statement on the club’s website said that the move was “in the interests of crowd safety and public order, given the high-profile nature of the fixture, and the potential impact a result could have on both ends of the Sky Bet League One table.”

This decision has been made following discussions between the clubs, Lancashire Police, the Football League and other relevant authorities.
