The town and the club’s Believe campaign saw ‘little’ Wigan past the finishing post sparking magnificent scenes in front of a worldwide audience.

The boys in black dominated the game and could have won by three or four on another day. Were City that poor? No - Wigan were that good.

They certainly made little mascot Joseph Kendrick’s day. The toddler, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder, made his mum and dad proud as he took to the field with the players at the start of a magical day.
