ERIC Black been confirmed as Rotherham United’s new first-team coach after leaving Wigan Athletic.
The Scot has been conspicuous by his absence at Christopher Park in recent weeks, and the Millers have rubber-stamped announced his appointment.
Black enjoyed two spells with Latics, being Steve Bruce’s No.2 before returning to the DW Stadium last summer as part of Uwe Rosler’s backroom staff.
“He has a wealth of experience and knowledge as a coach from a career spanning over 20 years and will have a major part to play at Rotherham going forward,” said Rotherham boss Steve Evans.
Latics have already moved to replace Black, with Joe Parkinson moving up from Development Squad boss to first-team coach.
