FORMER Wigan Athletic captain Emmerson Boyce is training with League One rivals Blackpool.
The 35-year-old left Latics after nine years this summer when he rejected a pay-as-you-pay deal offered by the club.
He trained with Blackpool’s squad at their Squires Gate training ground this morning and could feature in the side’s friendly against Morecambe tomorrow.
Pool manager Neil McDonald would see the Barbados international as the experience he feels his squad is currently missing ahead of life in League One.
After joining Wigan from Crystal Palace for £1,000,000 in 2006, Boyce went onto captain the club to victory over Manchester City in the 2013 FA Cup final.
