DONERVON Daniels has become Wigan Athletic’s fourth summer signing.
The 21-year-old centre-back joins from West Bromwich Albion on a three-year deal.
Daniels played against Latics last term, one of 19 appearances made during his loan spell at Blackpool.
He finished the campaign on loan at Aberdeen, where playing a further nine matches before returning to West Brom.
Having come through the ranks at the Hawthorns, Daniels was out of contract this summer and has opted for a fresh start at the DW Stadium.
He follows the captures earlier this summer of Walsall goalkeeper Richard O’Donnell, Rotherham centre-back Craig Morgan and Blackpool midfielder David Perkins.
Boss Gary Caldwell is also on the verge of tying up the signing of Bolton striker Sanmi Odelusi, with Max Power’s switch from Tranmere expected to require a tribunal.
Regarding outgoings, striker Oriol Riera should complete his transfer to Deportivo La Coruna any day.
