Gary Caldwell has a simple message for any rival managers eyeing up any of his Wigan Athletic players – hands off!
The Latics boss is hoping to add ‘four or five’ new players to his squad ahead of the new season, which kicks-off at the beginning of August.
That tally will, of course, increase if Caldwell loses any of his current first-team pool.
However, he is expecting every single member of his League One title-winning squad to be there for the start of pre-season training at the end of June.
“As far as we’re concerned, no-one is for sale,” Caldwell told the Evening Post.
“Everyone who was part of the great success we had last season, we want to take forward with us and develop again in the league above.”
“The club is in no need to sell anyone, which is a good thing.”
