GARY Caldwell has ruled himself out of the running to succeed Uwe Rosler as Wigan Athletic manager.
The Scot has been working with the club’s youngsters this term and, while he hopes to one day move into management, he says the timing is not right.
“I’ve been helping Graham (Barrow) and Eric (Black) this week,” said Caldwell. “They’ve asked me to help with certain things and I’m really grateful. If I can help in any way I will.
“Looking to the future, being manager of this football club is certainly something I’d love to do – but it’s not for me just now.
In the meantime, I’ll support Graham as much as I can and I believe he can lead this club out of this rough period.”
