LATICS have sold former England international goalkeeper Scott Carson to Derby for an undisclosed fee.

Derby’s new head coach Paul Clement said: “Competition for places across the squad is important and Scott’s arrival certainly brings that to the goalkeeping department.
“We have two good goalkeepers already in Lee Grant and Kelle Roos and bringing Scott in will certainly raise the battle for the place between the posts.”
Carson was a regular for Latics last season but could not prevent them from slipping into League One.
New signing Richard O’Donnell and youngster Lee Nicholls will compete for the No.1 jersey next season.
