LATICS fans will get the chance to see the FA Cup as it comes to town ahead of the club’s date at Wembley with Manchester City.

The famous trophy will be at the Tesco Extra store on Central Park Way this Wednesday (April 24) from 12-4pm, giving fans the chance to have their photo taken with it.

Wigan could bring home the cup, first won in 1872 by the Wanderers, if they can see off Manchester City on Saturday May 11.

It was last at the store ahead of the latics triumph over Millwall in the semi-final and hundreds of fans turned out to see the trophy.

Interest is again expected to be high and organisers are recommending fans get their early to see it.

Wigan have seen off Macclesfield, Huddersfield, Everton and Millwall to earn their place in the final.

Some 21,500 fans are expected to travel to the capital for the clash and regardless of whether they win trophy, they are all but guaranteed a place in Europe next season as Manchester City will qualify for the Champions League through their league placing, handing the cup winners spot to Wigan.

There has been criticisms from both sets of supporters following the announcement that the game will kick off at 5.15pm, preventing fans getting back by rail.
