ADAM Forshaw looks set to be the latest big-name departure from Wigan Athletic with Middlesbrough on the verge of completing his surprise signing.
The midfielder has struggled to establish himself at the DW Stadium since his deadline-day move from Brentford, even more so since Malky Mackay took over from Uwe Rosler in November.
Forshaw is expected to tie up his move to Boro in the next 24 hours, and could make his debut this weekend against, ironically, Brentford.
The fee is believed to be around the £2.5million Latics paid to Brentford last summer for his services.
Meanwhile, Callum McManaman should complete his move to West Brom before the weekend.
The 23-year-old - Wigan’s man of the match in the 2013 FA Cup final - will move for a fee that could rise to the £5million mark.
