ROBERTO Martinez believes Hugo Rodallega is showing signs of a return to form – at just the right time for Wigan Athletic.
The Colombian was restored to the starting line-up at Norwich on Sunday, and ploughed the lone furrow superbly as Latics recorded a 1-1 draw.
“I thought Hugo’s movement throughout the game was outstanding – he occupied the position very well against two defenders,” said Martinez.
“He had some good shots and opportunities but was unfortunate with the bounce of the ball and couldn’t get his rewards.
“His performance brought a great deal to the team, though, and that’s going to be vital between now and the end of the season.
“We need everyone to be in that mental and physical condition where they are ready to help the team in the final 10 games.
“Let’s take these levels into Saturday’s home game against West Brom and, as always, be together fighting for the same cause.”
