Wigan Athletic are reportedly interested in a move for Liverpool’s Adam Bogdan.
The goalkeeper has requested a loan move so he can regain the form that bagged him the move to Anfield in 2015.
Wigan know the capabilities of the ex-Bolton man after facing him during his time at the Wanderers.
And when the teams clashed in the FA Cup at the start of last year, Bogdan kept a clean sheet.
The 28-year-old has slipped to third choice keeper at Liverpool and he could provide strong competition for fan favourite Jussi Jaaskelainen and Lee Nicholls between the sticks if a move to Wigan came to fruition.
Bogdan said: “The goal is to get loaned out. I could stay but I would need incredible luck or a lot of injuries to climb the ladder.”
The Hungarian international said there ‘was not much point’ in joining Liverpool on their pre season tour to the US after only making six appearances so far.
but Bogdan believes he may have to as the club give first and second choice keepers, Mignolet and Ward, recovery time upon their return from Euro 2016.
“There is not much point going to the USA after my last half-year, plus the new arrival of a goalkeeper shows that they don’t count on me,” he said.
