WIGAN Athletic have finally agreed an ‘undisclosed’ fee with Tranmere Rovers for midfielder Max Power.
The 22-year-old moved to the DW Stadium from Prenton Park in the summer after his contract expired.
With Rovers entitled to a fee due to his age, the two clubs were unable to agree a deal until now.
It had looked like the matter would have to be referred to an FA tribunal.
But the clubs have reached a compromise with which they are both happy, and all parties can now draw a line under the matter.
“We knew Max’s potential, that’s why we signed him,” said boss Gary Caldwell.
“It’s been great the way he has integrated within the squad, looks to improve on a daily basis and, most importantly, shows the kind of consistency he is doing, in whatever role he is being asked to play.
“For everyone’s sake, it is excellent news everything has been agreed now, we can draw a line under it all and move on.”
