WIGAN Athletic fans could be treated to the first sight of new £1million man Will Grigg at Southport this afternoon.
The 24-year-old joined Latics from Brentford on Tuesday afternoon just hours before the opening pre-season friendly at Altrincham.

Grigg was an interested spectator at the J Davidson Stadium, having barely had time time to meet his new team-mates ahead of the game.
But after a few days training this week at Christopher Park he’s champing at the bit to be involved at Southport.
“I’m probably a few days behind the rest of the boys because I had an extended break because of the international period,” Grigg told the Evening Post.
“But I’ve been training, in amongst it, and hopefully I’ll be involved on Saturday.”
Boss Gary Caldwell will be anxious to integrate Grigg as quickly as possible with the new season only three weeks away.
The Latics chief is still celebrating a real coup in adding Grigg - who notched 22 goals last term during a loan spell at MK Dons - to his striking roster after a prolonged chase.
“He’s a proven goalscorer, and someone who really wanted to come to the football club,” said Caldwell.
“He’s won promotion from League One in the last two seasons and he wants to achieve that again with Wigan.
“We’re happy to have him, we’ll see what he’s like in training and see if we can use him at some point on Saturday.”
Grigg become Wigan’s eighth capture of the summer, following the captures of David Perkins, Richard O’Donnell, Craig Morgan, Donervon Daniels, Max Power, Sanmi Odelusi and Craig Davies.
But Caldwell is adamant he’s still looking for several more signings to give Latics a fighting chance of achieving promotion back to the Championship at the first attempt.
“There will be more players coming in,” Caldwell added.
“I think we showed at Altrincham - especially in the second half with the players we had to use, that we still need to strengthen the squad and add to the depth.
“We’re working every day to do that, and to improve the players we have both physically and technically.”
