WIGAN Athletic have been given permission to speak to Brentford boss Uwe Rosler.

Latics have been hunting for a replacement for Owen Coyle this week and it looks like chairman Dave Whelan has found his man.

The Evening Post understands that the former Manchester City ace will meet Wigan officials tomorrow for talks about becoming the new manager at the DW Stadium.

Earlier today, Brentford chief executive Mark Devlin denied reports that Latics had made an approach for Rosler but it has now emerged that the club has granted permission for talks to take place.
