HARRY Maguire insists the international break came at the perfect time for Wigan Athletic.
Latics went into the break on the back of a 1-1 draw against Bolton – a result made even better with relegation rivals Rotherham losing 3-2 at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

Late drama at both the DW Stadium and the AesSeal New York Stadium meant a potential nine-point gap between Latics and the fourth-bottom Millers is now only five.
And Maguire admits having this weekend off thanks to the international programme will represent the ideal opportunity to rest weary minds as well as legs.
“It’s been combining a few hard training days with a few days off to recharge our minds as well as our legs,” he told the Evening Post.
“It’s been a hectic last month, with games every three or four days, and it takes it out of your mind as well as your body, preparing for big game after big game.
“To have a little bit of down-time, and be able to go home and see your family, can only be a good thing.
“We went into the international break on the back of a great performance, if not a great result.
“We now have the chance to refresh ourselves and make sure we’re ready for the seven remaining games, which are cup finals.
“We need as many points as we can get and I’m sure we’ll be up for the fight.”
