WIGAN Athletic have confirmed their initial allocation of tickets for the trip to NK Maribor sold out within an hour of going on sale.
The batch of 642 tickets for the Europa League game in Slovenia at the Ljudski vrt stadium on Thursday December 12 were released to season ticket holders this morning.
However, the club has confirmed that fans snapped up the allocation “in record time.”
Supporters not able to purchase have been put on a waiting list should more match tickets become available, with the club currently contacting NK Maribor to investigate whether this is possible.
A further 150 tickets, priced at £475 per person, will be on sale from noon today as part of the Official VIP travel package for the side’s final group game of the competition.
This will include a seat on the official team flight, 4 star B&B, all transfers, a private drinks reception and a match ticket.
