WIGAN Athletic’s first ever European visitors have enjoyed a training session on the DW Stadium pitch.
NK Maribor had an evening session at the stadium last night, before the two sides go head to head tonight.
The Slovenian champions will install themselves in Latics history, becoming the first ever visitors to Wigan in competitive European competition.
Both sides are hoping to get their first Europa League win in Group D. Latics came away with a 0-0 draw from Belgian side Zulte Waregem last time out, while Maribor went down 5-2 to group favourites Rubin Kazan.
The visitors will have a new coach in charge for the match, with Ante Šimundža appointed this week.
