ROBERTO Martinez has warned Sunderland to beware a backlash from his wounded Wigan Athletic side.
Latics were held 3-3 by Blackburn last weekend following a controversial performance by referee Andre Marriner.
And while the Wigan boss admits there’s no point crying over spilt milk, he does want his players to use the feeling of injustice to spur them on.
“In football all you can control is your own level of performance, and we’ll be trying to replicate what we did against Blackburn over the next few weeks – especially at Sunderland,” he told the Observer.
