JOSH McEachran insists tomorrow’s trip to Bolton gives Latics the perfect chance to get back to winning ways. writes Paul Kendrick.
Latics surrendered their 10-match unbeaten run – including nine wins – at QPR in midweek.
With results elsewhere going their way, Latics remain in fifth spot in the Championship with nine matches to go.
And McEachran says they will make the short trip to the Reebok in good spirits.
“I thought it was a great performance in midweek, and we can take a lot of positives into the Bolton game,” he told the Evening Post.
“We had several clear-cut chances that on another day would have ended up in the back of the net.
“We just need to keep our heads up and move on to Bolton.
“We can’t dwell on that for too long, there’s more challenges ahead and we need to prepare for those.”
The game will be McEachran’s first experience of a derby match up north, and the 21-year-old on-loan Chelsea man admits he can’t wait to sample the atmosphere.
“Everyone’s been telling me about the derby against Bolton, so I’m looking forward to it,” he added.
