Max Power has signed a one-year extension to his Wigan Athletic deal, keeping him at the DW Stadium until 2019.
The 23-year-old joined Latics from Tranmere Rovers last summer, and had scored six goals in 48 appearances.
Boss Gary Caldwell said: “Max is a superb young player, and his development during his time with us has been excellent.
“To secure his long-term future is great for the football club and a real statement of intent in terms of keeping our best players here at the DW Stadium.”
Power said: “To sign a new deal with Wigan Athletic and to commit my future to the club is something I’ve wanted to do over the summer, so I’m delighted to get it done.”
