FORMER Wigan Athletic boss Uwe Rosler has been sacked as head coach of Championship outfit Leeds United.
The German was only appointed at Elland Road in the summer, but has paid the penalty for a below-par start to the campaign.
Saturday’s home defeat at the hands of leaders Brighton means Leeds have won only two of their first 11 matches.
They currently lie only three points above the relegation zone.
Rosler was sacked as Latics boss in November last year after a similarly-disappointing start.
Latics - the pre-season favourites for promotion - won only three of their first 18 matches in all competitions before then-chairman Dave Whelan swung the axe.
Malky Mackay was unable to turn the ship around during a controversial reign, and he himself was sacked in April with present boss Gary Caldwell taking over.
Leeds have moved swiftly to replace Rosler, with ex-Rotherham boss Steve Evans taking training on Monday.
