Wigan Athletic defender Andrew Taylor has joined rivals Bolton Wanderers on loan.

The 30-year-old goes out to the League One outfit for the rest of the season, after a year on loan at Reading last season.

He was one of only three players, along with youngsters Jordan Flores and Tim Chow, remaining from the Latics squad which was relegated from the Championship at the end of 2015.

Taylor, who is in the final year of his contract at Latics, joined the club as a free agent after the end of his contract with Cardiff City in 2014, and has scored one goal from his 26 appearances with the club.
