FT Accrington 3 Latics 1.
Perfect start but defensive errors helped Accy back into the game, and Latics just couldn’t click in the final third to get back into it. Looked a bit tired to be fair, and not without reason.
Almost 4-1 Accy, David Morgan prods goalwards and Jamie Jones sticks out his left hand and diverts the ball wide, great save.
Callum Lang denied by the defence, before Luke Robinson’s shot is saved.
Jamie Proctor - on for Dan Gardner - heads over the bar, already looks more of a presence up top.
Goal 3-1 Accrington, Dion Charles scores from the spot. Hour gone.
Penalty Accrington, Darikwa on McConville.
Short corner from Latics, Luke Robinson tries a sneaky near-post effort but flies into the side-netting.
Only Swindon of the bottom eight winning...massive opportunity here so far going begging...and it doesn’t need much of a lift to get something here, still up for grabs...
HT Accrington 2 Latics 1.
Perfect start for Latics, Callum Lang scores inside 40 seconds, but two more very poor goals to concede have undone all that good work, Latics once again proving their own worst enemies.
Ball cleared to Lee Evans, 30 yards from goal, controls and takes the volley on, would have been a beauty, flies over the top.
Callum Lang wants a penalty after getting his body the wrong side of the defender ahead of the contact, but the referee rules otherwise. Would have been generous.
Goal 2-1 Accrington, set-piece comes in from the left, Jamie Jones goes with his legs, can’t get enough on it and Michael Nottingham stabs home from close range.
Cracking strike from Accrington’s Sean McConville, comes back off the bar, end to end to stuff here, how is it only 1-1?
Callum Lang almost puts Latics back in front, shot flies inches wide of the post...not even five minutes gone!
Free header for Cameron Burgess, and he heads powerfully past Jamie Jones to level the scores.
