Latics will take on United on Saturday, July 16 (1.30pm), in the first half of a blockbusting double-header of a weekend that will also see Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in town the following day (4pm).

Tickets for the United game are on sale from Wednesday morning, and supporters are advised to buy early as the game is all-ticket and there will be no sales on the day.

Tickets are priced £15 adults, £10 Under 18s/Over 65s, £5 Under 11s and £2 Under 5s.

United have been allocated the East Stand, and tickets in the home end will only be available to Latics fans with a previous booking history at the DW.

“This will be Jose Mourinho’s first game in charge as manager of Manchester United and there will be a big focus on the DW Stadium,” said chairman David Sharpe.

“These two games will certainly give the supporters a great way to welcome our players back to the DW after the summer break and will be great occasions”.
