New managerial team at Wigan Athletic confirmed
Wigan Athletic have confirmed Leam Richardson – with the support of Anthony Barry and Nick Colgan - will take charge of the first team as the players return to training next week.
The move comes in the aftermath of Paul Cook's departure over the weekend after three years in charge.
Richardson - Cook's long-time No.2 - and the club’s existing support staff will be supported by head of academy Gregor Rioch.
"The joint administrators held positive discussions with Leam on Monday with regards to the team’s return to training and potential pre-season fixtures," read a club statement.
