Power named PFA Fans' Play of the Month

WIGAN Athletic star Max Power has been named the PFA Fans' Player of the Month for January.

The midfielder, who has proven to be an integral part of Gary Caldwell’s side, scooped the award from a 12-man short list with a whopping 79.1 per cent of the vote.

The next highest voted player was Barnsley’s Sam Winnall with 14.2 per cent.

Latics boss Gary Caldwell was nominated for the Sky Bet League One manager of the month but missed out to Lee Johnson.

Wigan remain unbeaten in 2016 with January bringing in three wins and three draws.

Power played in every single one of the games, scoring against Gillingham and a scorcher against Chesterfield.
