Revealed: The strongest fortresses in League One - and how Wigan Athletic measure up

Wigan Athletic are scrapping for their lives at the foot of League One.

The Latics are currently 23rd in the table, two points off the bottom and two points from safety with seven matches left to play.

Survival is still more than attainable, but if they are to beat the drop, they must find a way of improving their home form – and quickly.

Wigan have taken just 14 points from 19 home games this term, an accumulation of three wins, five draws, and 11 defeats.

More pressingly, however, they have won just one of their last six outings at the DW Stadium, and have a goal difference of -18.

But how does that form compare to their home record over the past decade?

Bankrate.com have run the number on every League One side to see who has built up the strongest home fortress over the past 10 years.
