Support Wigan Athletic have received is 'flabbergasting' and 'mind-blowing'

While Latics were picking up what could prove to be a precious point on the field at Barnsley on Saturday, the off-field efforts led by the Supporters Club was smashing another magnificent milestone.

And it's certainly not gone unnoticed inside the dressing room.

"It's absolutely flabbergasting to be honest," acknowledged Latics assistant manager Leam Richardson.

"It's amazing how people come together in adversity, and we're all well aware how hard people are working on that score, as the players are.

"It's mind-blowing the level of support people are showing for this football club, and we thank each and every one of them for that.

"In times of adversity, people pull together, and we as a club are so appreciative of what's being done...from fans around the country, around the world.

"And it makes us doubly determined to work as hard as we can to do the best we can on the field.

"The lads are not leaving a breath out there on the field at the moment, and that's all we can ask of them, and all the fans can ask of them."
