Latics’ extended their unbeaten start to the season at the DW Stadium as they shared the points with Swansea City on Tuesday night.

Following their stalemate, Wigan Athletic moved up one place to seventh, and joined four other second-tier teams on 17 points.

Paul Cook’s troops are now level on points with sixth placed Swansea and fifth placed Brentford and are just five points away from current league leaders Leeds United.

Wigan are now without a defeat in 13 league games at the DW Stadium, with six of those matches being in the 2018-19 campaign.

Latics fans expressed on social media that they were happy to share the spoils with Swansea after declaring that Graham Potter’s side are the best team to visit the DW Stadium this term.

Meanwhile Swansea striker Oli McBurnie questioned how his side was unable to find the target at the DW Stadium on twitter.
