“We’re looking at certain lads who will probably miss the game through injury, while a few of the others will be leggy after two games in three days,” he told the Wigan Post.

“Do you keep with them or do you tweak the selection? That’s the quandary a manager has at the moment.

“There will be players missing, although obviously I won’t go into that in too much depth.

“The Hull game on Tuesday took its toll in terms of a couple of lads, but on the other hand it allows a couple of others to show what they can do.

“Would we have changed the team anyway with a Saturday-Tuesday-Friday schedule? Maybe we would, probably you should.”
