And administrator Paul Stanley believes, whichever way the decision goes, it will provide a significant step forward in finding a new owner.

"I think the situation will start to firm up once people know which division we're in next year," said Stanley, who also doesn't believe the recent departure of Paul Cook will have a detrimental effect on the situation.

He continued: "Most people when they're coming into a football club have their own ideas on how they want things done and the style of play.

"It also depends of course on which division we're in, but I'd be surprised if the new owners didn't want a new set-up.

"And I don't think things have really changed (with Paul Cook leaving).

"Paul did a great job at the club, he's been great with us, and we wish him all the best."

Speaking on talkSPORT, Stanley also lifted the lid on what it was like to be involved in a nine-hour courtroom drama - via the modern technology of Zoom.

"I've got to say how efficient I found the whole day, I was fascinated by it," he added.

"To run a whole court case over zoom was a really great achievement. to be honest.

"We put as good a case as we can, and now we're waiting for the announcement."
