HAYLEY Jones was the star of the show at Sunday’s athletics meeting at Robin Park.

The 24-year-old Wigan Harrier scorched to victory in both the 100m and 200m.

Her 100m time of 11.30secs was a personal best, while her 200m time of 23.29secs was a season’s best.

Rachel Culshaw was also in good form, recording a personal best of 15.22secs in the 100m hurdles.

She then recorded a season’s best of 63.11 in the 400m hurdles.

Kelly Hilton’s long jump of 5.80m was another personal best, while her triple jump of 12.45m was just short of her season’s best.

There were also season’s best times in the 800m for Natalie Thompson (2:37.09secs) and Micaela Brindle (3:00.80secs).

Samantha Fraser placed joint-second in the high jump with a season’s best of 1.65m, while the women’s 4x100m team ran a season’s best of 49.78secs.

WIGAN Harrier Danielle McGifford claimed long jump glory at the English Schools Championship.

The 18-year-old set a new PB with a leap of 6.03m at the Birmingham event last weekend.
