IF her sons were allowed to bring their silverware home, Judith Bitcon would need a new mantle-piece - as well as round-the-clock security - at her Wigan home!

That’s because her sons Simon and Mark have carved out successful careers behind the scenes at two of the country’s best-known, and successful, sports clubs.

Mark is the head of performance at the Warriors, who finished last season with the Challenge Cup and Super League double.

And his younger brother Simon is head of strength and conditioning for Premier League champions Manchester City.

Working alongside global superstars such as David Silva and Sergio Aguero, the 31-year-old also enjoyed League Cup success with City last season.

“It’s great that we’re both doing what we love doing,” said Mark, 35, who like his brother went to St John Fisher High School.

“When we were kids, both of played football for Junior Latics, and my mum’s weekends were spent travelling to our games.

“Now she watches Wigan on a Friday night and then on Saturday goes to Man City, so to some extent her weekends haven’t changed!”
