MARTIN Murray has his sights fixed on world domination after signing a three-fight deal worth more than £1m.

He was thrilled to link-up with Africa’s largest promotor, Golden Gloves.

“I’m made up,” said Murray, who is ranked No 1 by the WBA and No 6 by the IBF.

“The deal secures my future and the future of my wife and kids which has always been the most important thing for me.”

It marks an incredible rise for the 31-year-0ld.

He learned his craft at Wigan Amateur Boxing Club and was marked out as a special talent from an early age before turning pro’ aged 25.

But Murray became frustrated after fighting just once after his narrow defeat to Sergio Martinez in Argentina last April.

He parted with Ricky Hatton’s promotion company to join forces with Golden Gloves – and celebrated the deal with a winning run in the St Helens 10k on Sunday!

Murray, who still trains in the town where he lived until recently, is hoping to fight in the summer ahead of a November showdown with middleweight world champion Gennady Golovkin.

“We’re hoping for a decent opponent in June but it’s about me getting back firing on all cylinders,” added the St Helens-born star, whose record stands at 26-1-1.

Golden Gloves’ Rodney Berman said he had big plans for their new recruit.

“Being a huge Murray fan we are committed to taking him to another world title opportunity,” he said. “We will move heaven and earth to ensure that Martin gets the world title opportunity in November he so richly deserves.”
