DYNAMO Globe won the Bill Heyes Memorial final, beating North Star 4-0.

In an even first half there was just one goal on 35 minutes, when Duncan McPhail scored.

On 70 minutes a harsh penalty was awarded after an alleged trip on Chris Robinson. Dave Johnson converted the spot-kick, and within a minute North Star conceded a corner and it was headed home by man of the match Johan Du Toit. A late goal by sub Mark Burgess compounded North Star’s fate.

In the only Premier Division game played, Horwich St Mary’s ran out 3-1 winners against Wigan Cosmos.

Golborne Parkside are in third spot in Division One behind Halsall and Orrell Otters after a 6-1 win against PSN Mabs Cross. Matty Hughes struck four goals, with Jay Ridyard and Josh Daggalley also on target for Parkside.

Penlake are in fourth spot. They visited Orrell Sorrento and won 4-0. Greg Shuker, Phil Parry, Nick Grindy and Liam Higson were on target.

In Division Two, the only game played saw leaders Digmoor romp home 8-1 against Bryn Park. Ant Hampson struck a terrific 20-yard shot for Bryn Park but it was already 4-0 at the time.

On target were John Stalker, Dave Stoddern (2), Alex Stoddern (3), Lee Phillips and Adam Hederick.

Chequer Lane found themselves 3-0 down in the first 20 minutes of their Division Three match against Leigh Rovers, before running out 8-3 winners.

Deon Moran (2), James Thomson (2), Tom Sockett, Jordan Murray (2) and Ross Hughes registered.

A goal in each half by Dean Bergham and Paul Gregory enabled Victoria to win 2-0 against Orwell.

Halsall Res are in second spot behind Knowsley South after a 5-1 win against Darly. Graham Long (2), Stu Love, Geoff Higham and Dean Fitzgerald scored for Halsall. Mark Liptrot replied for Darly.

Atherton Town are champions of the U17s Division, but the runners-up spot is still up for grabs.

Ashton Athletic could have clinched the it but went down to Southport 5-2.

Southport took a 2-0 interval lead with an own goal and a strike by Danny Boden. Ben Bolton pulled a goal back but two goals from Jamie Campbell and another from Luke Smith sealed the game in Southport’s favour.

Joe Winstanley struck Ashton’s second goal.

Garswood Utd won 5-2 against Shevington with Jordan Gore scoring a hat-trick and John Clark two. Ryan Kuipers and Adam Jeavons replied.

Billinge drew 2-2 against Redgate Rovers. Josh Giblin and Ben Hodkinson scored for Redgate, with Jay Linney scoring twice for Billinge.
