Winstanley St Aidan’s returned to winning ways in the Garswood Trophies Premier Division as they won 3-1 at Shevington in the Wigan Amateur League.

Goals came from Steve Edwards, Mat McCoy and Stuart Berkley while Danny Simm netted for the losers.

Hindley Town and Bel Air fought out a 1-1 draw as Rob Connolly’s effort was cancelled out by Callum Mahoney.

In McHale Baker Wills & Trusts Division One, Rainford North End slammed Winstanley Res 5-1 with goals coming from Ian Roby, Liam Navarro, Steve Birchall, who was also shown a yellow card, Paul Sweeney a 30-yard sizzler and Ian Wareing with Mark Swift getting a late consolation.

Bickerstaffe Res striker Anthony Halligan got both his side’s goals in their 2-0 win over Leigh Legion while St Jude’s the leaders thrashed Goose Green 
United 5-1 as Ant Smith with two, Bill Haugh,Tom Yates and Kieran Howard all got on the score sheet with Kieran Madden replying for United.

Wigan Rovers are right behind them after caning Standish St Wilf’s Res 6-1 - their marksmen Graham Croft and Stuart Johnson with two apiece, Derek Booth and Gareth McMahon - while Steve Nelson scored for the home side.

David Wilson Homes Division Two leaders Ormskirk West End despatched 
Hindley Town Res 5-1 with Lee Brooks grabbing four of the goals while rivals Digmoor Res demolished Springfield 10-1.

Newly arrived Adam Leadbetter claimed a hat-trick, Kevin Leadbetter, Jamie King, Gary Doyle, Sean Johnson, Charlie Morris, Nick Ford and an own goal with Scott Unsworth scoring for the Wigan based outfit completed the scoring.

Pemberton Res stormed to a 6-1 win over a listless Ashton Villa, substitute 
Steve Buckley collected four of them with Ian Atherton and David Critchley adding others with Villa’s consolation coming from Dave Griffiths.

Ormskirk edged out neighbours Up Holland 3-2.
