Hundreds of people took part in the annual Leigh 10k race at the weekend.

The event was started by Roy Clarke and Kevin Lowe who won a draw held for Wigan and Leigh Hospice users to start the race, and the winner was Michael Cayton of Ribble Valley Runners, with Colin Snook crossing the line second.
