They racked up 10 tries - and nine Zak Hardaker goals - to claim a hugely-impressive 58-12 victory against Salford.

Bevan French finished with a hat-trick while Liam Farrell, Sam Powell and Oliver Gildart all got doubles, and Jackson Hastings also crossed.

"I thought we were outstanding, it was probably our first 80 minute performance of the year," said Lam, who reported no fresh injuries.

"And that was the goal of the week, would you believe. So I'm really pleased for the group.

"We had a good win against Warrington and having a week off, sometimes you're not sure about what will happen but we talked about our mindset.

"We felt that let us down in the Challenge Cup semi-final (loss to Leeds), and we're working hard to making sure that doesn't happen again.

"We were ticking the boxes, our attitude was brilliant, our pack was bang on to create the platform to build on.

"This week was about performing for 80 minutes."

Wigan's next game is against St Helens, scheduled for next Friday. Lam suggested it may be brought forward a day to the Thursday though there has been no confirmation from Super League or the clubs.
