Elsewhere, Gabe Hamlin was named Wigan's young player of the year, Sam Powell took the community award and Gemma Walsh the women's player of the year.

Umyla Hanley (Under-16s) and Harry Smith (U19s) were again honoured - having been presented with their awards at a Super-8s game - while Vicky Cowpland took the Peter Higginbottom Recognition Award.

Also departing Wigan director of performance Mark Bitcon was given life membership of the club - he becomes the first since Matty Bowen to get the honour.

And the final honour of the night went to Shaun Wane, who was also made a life member, as he picked up the Chairman's Award from Ian Lenagan.
