French newspaper L'Independant has reported the ex-Warrior has signed a three-year deal to join the Red Devils.

It is unclear whether the first of those seasons will be the remainder of the 2020 campaign, but the Frenchman is expected to link-up with Ian Watson's outfit later this month to begin preparing for the season to resume.

Escare was released by Wigan a month ago after falling down the pecking order at the club.

The former Catalans No.1 helped the Cherry and Whites to the 2017 World Club Challenge win against Cronulla Sharks in just his second game for the club and also featured in the 2018 Super League Grand Final victory over Warrington

In total he made 47 appearances for the club, scoring 14 tries, but the arrival of Zak Hardaker and then Bevan French limited his chances.

The development as Wigantoday reported Joe Burgess has agreed to join Salford for next season.
