Wigantoday.net revealed last week that the French full-back was close to agreeing an early exit from the remaining few months on his deal.

And that paves the way for him to link-up with Salford when the club return to training ahead of the Super League restart, scheduled for mid-August.

Wigan executive director, Kris Radlinski, said: “With the limited opportunities to find a game for Morgan and with the cancellation of the reserve programme for 2020, it was felt the best thing by all was to allow Morgan to find another club for the remainder of 2020 and secure a contract for 2021 and beyond.

"We thank him for his commitment to Wigan over the last few years and we wish him well for the rest of his career.”

Escaré helped the Cherry and Whites to the 2017 World Club Challenge win against Cronulla Sharks in just his second game for the club and also featured in the 2018 Super League Grand Final victory over Warrington

In total he made 47 appearances for the club, scoring 14 tries, but he struggled for game-time last year and finished the season on loan at Wakefield.

The former Catalans No.1 has the attacking flair to light up matches and is interesting Salford, who are seeking a replacement for Castleford-bound Niall Evalds.
