No players left out of squad

Shaun Wane gave no hint he had dropped any players '“ in wake of the club's off-field controversy '“ by naming an unchanged squad to face Salford on Friday night.

Warriors are investigating claims two of their players were involved in town centre trouble last Friday.

Police are also probing the incident at Xercise4less, after damage was caused to the gym.

The fact Wane has not withdrawn any players from last week’s 19-man panel suggests no-one will be suspended, at least until the club’s own investigation has finished.

Of course, two players could still be dropped as two players from the 19-man squad don’t play (Joe Bretherton and Lewis Tierney missed the cut for last Thursday’s 33-26 win at Castleford).

And changes can be made to the squad due to injuries.

The head coach said earlier this week he would only have a clearer idea about his team after training on Thursday.

Wigan haven’t put a time-frame on how long their investigation may take, but have promised a full statement once it is completed.
