Not playing at Old Trafford would be a disappointment, admits Liam Farrell

Liam Farrell admits the decision to take this year’s Super League Grand Final away from Old Trafford has left him with a sense of ‘real disappointment’.

But the Warriors backrow says everyone connected with the club will be doing everything in their power to take the spoils in its temporary home in Hull.

“The feeling of getting to a Grand Final would still be the same,” acknowledged Farrell.

“To pick up the trophy, and to be presented with a winners’ ring, would be as special as in any other year.

“But I’ve got to admit, not playing at Old Trafford would be a real disappointment.

“Obviously the league have looked at what they believe is best, and how it suits us best, and they’ve chosen to go to Hull. And it will still make for a great game, whoever’s in the final.”

This year’s Grand Final is pencilled in for Friday, November 27 (8pm).
