The no-nonsense prop was hit with a four-match ban after his last appearance, against Huddersfield on March 1.

He served one game of the suspension before the coronavirus crisis halted the season, and the other three since the restart.

He is now back in the Warriors side and is set to play against Hull KR in a behind closed doors match at Headingley this evening (6pm). Partington, a former Orrell St James amateur, said: “I’m buzzing to be back, it’s been mad to be honest.

“Even when the season restarted, we were supposed to have a Cup game against Warrington – then we ended up having a bye – so it meant I had to wait an extra week. It’s been torture! But I’ve tried to use it as an extra pre-season and get out of it what I can, they’ve flogged me and so I’m ready to go.”

Oliver Gildart is also set to return.
