“It’s simple to say I love every single day we spend with the lads, it’s an honour.
“We’ve got each other’s back, we train, and we have a laugh. When it gets down to business, we go to business.
“Long may it continue. We want to do something special. It’s okay talking about it, but talk is cheap, we need to go out and do it.

“It was special, but there are a lot more things at stake.
“That is why we are so close and so tight because we want to create history that’s not been done for such a long time.
“It’s a day I’ll always remember, but there’s many more memories to be made for sure.”
Makinson also discussed his brief meeting with the Princess of Wales ahead of the game.
“She was really nice, asking about the game,” he added.
“She was great. It was a 20 second chat, we’ll never get it again will we.”
